Diffuse hypoxic ischemic injury post amphetamines HIE adult diffuse

26-year-old male, with LOC, query amphetamine overdose/alcohol withdrawal, positive EEG, rule out
ischemic changes.

There is diffuse bilateral cortical thickening and T2 hyperintensity, as well as associated signal abnormality involving the bilateral basal ganglia and bilateral thalami.

Diffuse bilateral cortical restricted diffusion is also noted, more conspicuous in a bilateral parieto-occipital and perirolandic distribution.
